Document Editor

A Document tab is a rich-text editor for the prose around your calculations — design narratives, assumptions, references, and cover letters. It paginates as you type, so what you see is what prints.

Create one from the + beside Documents in the left sidebar, or Home → New → New Document.

Formatting

Formatting lives in the Text ribbon tab.

Headings, paragraphs, and horizontal rules come from the editor's standard block types.

Tables

Insert → Table creates a 3×3 table with a header row. Put the cursor inside a table and a contextual Table group appears in the ribbon with Add Row, Delete Row, Add Column, Delete Column, and Delete Table.

Inside a table, Tab and Shift+Tab move between cells.

Pages and page breaks

The document editor reflows content onto real pages as you type — a live WYSIWYG view rather than a separate preview mode. Page size, orientation, and margins come from Document Settings (letter, legal, A4, or custom).

Insert a manual break with Ctrl+Enter, or Insert → Break. If the cursor is in the middle of a paragraph, the paragraph is split first. Pressing Backspace just after a break (or Delete just before one) removes it.

Document Settings also exposes widow and orphan minimums under its Text Flow tab, controlling how few lines the reflow engine may leave stranded at a page boundary.

Printing

The Print button opens a print preview; the browser's print dialog produces the PDF. Output is vector — text stays selectable.

A document can also be included as a section of a Report Builder binder, or used as its cover page.
